About The Position

Kennedy Rice Mill is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Sales & Marketing Coordinator to support its sales and marketing teams. The role handles operational work that helps launches, promotions, and customer programs happen on time and within budget. The position supports a vertically integrated rice company that sells through bulk/commodity, private-label, food-service, and branded consumer product channels.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in CPG, food and beverage, consumer goods, or a related field such as sales operations, marketing coordination, brand management, or account support.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
Working knowledge of retail promotion and deduction processes.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic data cleanup.
Proficiency with presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Canva to create sales and marketing materials such as presentation decks and sell sheets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort working with stakeholders including brokers, retailers, creative agencies, and marketing agencies.
Ability to travel for trade shows and events as needed.
Must consume rice and be willing to prepare, cook, eat, and love rice.

Nice To Haves

Experience with retailer portals or systems, such as Retail Link, EDI, vendor portals, or item setup platforms.
Experience with packaging artwork review and print production.
Experience with trade promotion management or deduction management software.
Experience with event or demo logistics.
Experience supporting B2B, food service, private label, or ingredient sales.
Familiarity with food safety, organic, and other certification documentation.
Familiarity with a CRM.
Familiarity with GS1 standards, UPC/GTIN management, and product data systems.
Familiarity with project management or calendar tools such as Asana, Monday, or Smartsheet.
Familiarity with syndicated or POS data platforms.
