About The Position

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Analyst for a temporary project-based assignment to collaborate with our commercial team. HM Alpha is an Owner Operator specializing in the management of branded Luxury and Upper Upscale Hotels and Resorts in destination-driven markets. The Sales & Marketing Analyst will support commercial decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management through analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. This role will collaborate with the EVP of Sales & Marketing and the broader commercial team, delivering recurring reporting and high-priority ad hoc analysis to inform strategy and performance across the portfolio. This position focuses on commercial analytics, including transient and group performance, pacing, STR analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, bonus file support, and customer/guest insight reporting. The primary point of contact will be the Strategy & Analytics Manager and will collaborate closely with Operations, field leaders, and external vendors to support commercial initiatives and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Business, Analytics, Hospitality, Economics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in analytics, reporting, commercial analysis, or a related field
  • Strong Excel skills required, including the ability to build and maintain analytical files, reporting tools, and models
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and convert it into meaningful business insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance recurring deadlines with ad hoc requests
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs and ambiguous problem sets
  • Strong critical thinking, curiosity, initiative, and follow-through

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, property management, or a related industry
  • Multi-property reporting or analytical experience
  • Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, or other commercial functions
  • Familiarity with tools such as ProfitSword, STR, Amaze, Revinate, and similar hospitality or commercial reporting systems
  • Power BI experience (building dashboards, reports, and data models)
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and KPI analysis
  • Exposure to customer review analytics, guest feedback reporting, or sentiment-related analysis

Responsibilities

  • Deliver recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis for Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management
  • Provide analytical support to the EVP of Sales & Marketing and commercial leaders to inform decisions
  • Prepare, maintain, and enhance recurring reporting such as STR reports, pacing reports, performance summaries, and other commercial dashboards and tools
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management
  • Assist with bonus file preparation and related commercial performance support
  • Analyze transient and group business trends and provide insights to support performance improvement
  • Maintain and enhance reporting related to customer experience metrics, including review response rate, guest reviews, and other customer feedback trends
  • Help identify patterns, risks, and opportunities through data analysis, including potential sentiment or customer trend analysis
  • Translate data into clear takeaways, recommendations, and business storytelling for non-technical stakeholders
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and field teams to improve visibility into performance drivers
  • Gather, validate, and interpret data from multiple systems in partnership with internal teams and external vendors
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and prioritization across both recurring deliverables and ad hoc requests
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of analytical tools, dashboards, and processes using platforms such as Excel, Power BI, ProfitSword, Amaze, Revinate, and STR
  • Participate in cross-training and support selected analytical needs across adjacent business functions
