About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a service-oriented Sales Manager to support a team of Retail Advisors in creating excellent glasses-shopping experiences. The role combines customer engagement with process improvement and special projects, and contributes directly to the success of Warby Parker Retail. The Sales Manager directs a team of 8–10 team members and works with Retail leaders on store operations, service, and team development.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a management position.
• Retail experience.
• Managerial experience in sales or operations at a complex, customer-focused retailer.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Eagerness to learn new skills.
• Upbeat and empathetic team player.
• Driven to perform consistently and help teammates reach their targets.
• Ability to bring positive, fun energy to the workplace, including when working long hours.
• Must not be on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Communicate Warby Parker's values and brand philosophy to customers.
• Troubleshoot the point-of-sale system.
• Oversee the store's inventory management procedures.
• Develop processes that improve customer service and optimize shopping experiences.
• Manage and implement daily zoning schedules.
• Open and close the store.
• Lead shift-start and end-of-day meetings, roundtables, and other meetings as needed.
• Direct a team of 8–10 team members and model excellent customer service.
• Help conduct team members' biannual performance reviews with the Store Leader and Associate Store Leader.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding and ongoing training.
• Treat customers with respect and cultivate an inclusive, service-minded work culture.
