About The Position

We are looking for a versatile and well-organized Sales Manager with an outward direct-sales focus to meet or exceed established sales targets. As our Sales Manager, you’ll be focused on driving group room revenue across the corporate, government, and association markets. You’ll be responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and converting group leads into confirmed room blocks and meeting opportunities. Your day-to-day will include proactive sales calls, account development, prospecting, responding to RFPs, conducting site inspections, preparing proposals, negotiating rates and contract terms, and working closely with revenue management and operations to ensure a seamless client experience. You’ll represent our hotels in the market through client meetings, networking events, sales calls, trade shows, familiarization tours, and local business development activities. You’ll maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and client needs, while positioning our hotels as the preferred choice for group accommodation in Edmonton. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining accurate sales activities, account notes, booking details, follow-up actions, and production tracking in our sales systems. Building long-term relationships with corporate clients, government buyers, association planners, and third-party partners will be a key part of your success. At 53 North Collection and Crescent Hotels & Resorts, we strive to create a great place to work where associates at all levels of our organization are respected for their differences, just like the guests and owners we serve. That’s why we are dedicated to creating an environment that facilitates open and honest conversations about race, equity, diversity, and inclusion. By examining our own beliefs and behaviors, we can create change through training, recruiting, and promoting diverse talent to strengthen our culture.
