About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join Pohanka Automotive Group at our Chantilly, VA location. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, leading the sales team, and enhancing customer satisfaction within our automotive dealership. Pohanka Acura is looking for a Sales Manager to join our growing sales department. You’ll work closely with upper management as well as the sales associate to ensure the business needs are met. The Pohanka Family of Dealerships is firmly entrenched in the Washington DC Metro. Starting as a single service repair facility back in 1919, our group has grown to a family of 20 dealerships throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and Texas. Requirements

Proven experience in automotive sales management or a related leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop strategic sales initiatives and drive team performance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with automotive industry trends and customer service best practices.
Proficient in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Prior automotive sales managerial experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Understanding of inventory control
Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, CRM)
Professional
Strong work ethic
Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and operational efficiency.
Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help to enhance the sales process
Build rapport with customers to establish customer network
Manage the new vehicle inventory including ordering and dealer trades
Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals
Help manage all other aspects of the sales department
Desk Deals, Track Gross Logs and RDR cars
