Sales Manager – Specialty Lubricants & Additives, North America
About The Position
DuPont is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the North America commercial organization for its Specialty Lubricants & Additives business. The role is responsible for accelerating growth across the Molykote® and Multibase™ portfolios, expanding distributor channels, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving commercial execution across a diverse customer base. The position has a focus on automotive, industrial, and packaging applications and includes extensive travel throughout North America. Greater Philadelphia is preferred; Gulf Coast U.S., Michigan, or remote are also listed as location options.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience within specialty lubricants, additives, or adjacent industrial markets.
- Demonstrated success leading sales teams and delivering profitable growth across North America.
- Proven experience managing distributor networks, strategic accounts, and OEM relationships.
- Strong business development skills and a track record of identifying and converting growth opportunities.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and building high-performance commercial organizations.
- Strong understanding of industrial lubricants, specialty greases, silicone lubricants, synthetic lubricants, and value-based selling.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Deep specialty lubricants industry experience.
- Proven people leadership experience, including coaching and developing commercial teams.
- Strong distributor channel management expertise.
- Ability to travel up to 60% throughout North America.
- Demonstrated success driving business growth and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the North America commercial organization and deliver revenue, margin, and business objectives.
- Drive growth of the Molykote® and Multibase™ portfolios through strategic customer engagement and market development, with a focus on automotive and packaging applications.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization across North America.
- Develop and execute the North America commercial strategy aligned with global business priorities.
- Expand and strengthen distributor partnerships while optimizing channel performance.
- Transform and strengthen the Molykote® and Multibase™ channels by executing performance metrics and mutual action plans with distributor partners.
- Build and execute strategic account plans for key customers, OEMs, distributors, and end users.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities across targeted industries and market segments.
- Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Technical Service, and Operations to accelerate growth and improve customer outcomes.
- Establish a segmented commercial model that maximizes market coverage, value capture, and customer engagement.
- Travel throughout North America to support customers, channel partners, operating sites, and team development activities.
- Deliver revenue, margin, and profitability objectives and execute strategic growth initiatives and commercial priorities.
