About the position
Techstars is seeking a Sales & Investor Relations Associate to develop and maintain relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) through effective sales and marketing strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate with the capital formation team to execute sales and marketing plans, utilize digital and traditional tactics to influence RIAs and other potential prospects, and liaise with the Techstars revenue team on joint initiatives with prospective partners who want innovation coupled with fund returns. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field, 3 years of experience in sales and investor relations, and strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with RIAs and other potential prospects to develop a robust pipeline of business opportunities
- Collaborate with the capital formation team to develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase business opportunities with RIAs
- Utilize digital and traditional tactics to influence RIAs and other potential prospects
- Foster strong relationships with existing investors by staying informed about their objectives, risk tolerances, and other relevant factors
- Liaise with the Techstars revenue team on our joint initiative(s) with prospective partners who want innovation coupled with fund returns
- Collaborate with the IR team to develop and maintain marketing materials and thought leadership
- Work with the revenue team on joint initiatives with prospective partners who want innovation coupled with fund returns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in sales and investor relations
- Proven track record in identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with RIAs and other prospects
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency in Google Suit, Salesforce, and other relevant software applications.
