About The Position

The Sales Floor Assistant drives customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, managing company merchandise standards and execution, training and developing associates, and executing sales-building programs. The role supports customer service and sales, merchandise placement and inventory processes, visual presentation and store recovery, general operations, and company shrink and safety initiatives. Omnichannel responsibilities apply to SVG 2–3 only.

Responsibilities

• Model and hold the team accountable for outstanding customer service; listen to customer issues, resolve problems, demonstrate WORTH behaviors, and partner with team members when additional support is needed.
• Work with the Merchandise Supervisor to plan merchandise placement; contribute to merchandise receipt and reverse logistics; assist with cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger tasks, and RFID scans.
• Contribute to shoe-on-display restocking, including mismates and stockroom organization, and identify replenishment opportunities through the restock program.
• Assist with SET processes, including planning floor moves, placing graphics, and executing visual detailing according to company guidance.
• Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the selling floor to increase rate of sale; help oversee fitting-room and sales-floor recovery to maintain a clean, organized store environment.
• Contribute to visual elements supporting merchandising statements and maintain the stockroom.
• For SVG 2–3 only, assist with jcp.com orders and aged or undelivered orders and returns; contribute to Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship from Store processes as needed.
• Contribute to Merchandise Transfer Out, Return to Vendor, and Return to Warehouse activities.
• Assist with the Defective MTO process to ensure timely, proper execution and inventory integrity and prevent shrink.
• Participate in annual inventory processes.
• Support company shrink and safety initiatives and meet established standards for sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
• Train and develop associates and execute sales-building programs.
