About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a part-time Sales Estimator to evaluate project requirements and calculate labor, material, and time costs for accurate pricing proposals. The role supports competitive bidding and sales, including preparing bids, quotes, and scopes of work, discussing customer needs and pricing, following up on leads, negotiating with vendors or subcontractors, and helping close deals. Work is field-based and conducted on-site at customer locations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; work offsite is required.
• Ability to evaluate projects in person, including climbing ladders, bending, stooping, and crawling under trailers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and customer requests to determine material and labor expenses.
• Prepare professional bids, quotes, and scopes of work for prospective clients.
• Meet with customers on-site or in an office to discuss their needs and explain pricing.
• Follow up on leads.
• Negotiate terms with vendors or subcontractors.
• Help close deals to drive revenue.
• Build customer relationships through strong customer service.
