About The Position

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a customer-focused, results-driven Sales Engineer to join their team in the Greater Syracuse, NY region. This role involves working with a global leader in tooling solutions to shape the future of the machining industry. The Sales Engineer will be the primary contact for customers, responsible for understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and driving business growth within the Greater Syracuse, NY & Northeastern PA region. The candidate must reside in or around Syracuse, NY and/or Northeastern PA (Lackawanna/Luzerne County).

Requirements

Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools
Proven success in technical sales or customer-facing roles
Strong negotiation and communication skills
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (approx. 10% overnight)

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Promote and sell the full Coromant product and service offering
Identify new business opportunities and grow market share
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions
Use technical expertise to consult on CNC machining and tooling applications
Maintain and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools (MS Dynamics and Power BI) to ensure accurate tracking, forecasting, and follow-up on customer engagements
