About The Position

As a Sales Consultant Trainee at CarMax, you will help create a customer-first vehicle-buying experience by building relationships, understanding customers’ needs, and helping them find the right vehicle. CarMax provides paid training and mentorship; prior auto-sales experience is not required. The role emphasizes honesty, transparency, learning, and professional growth.

Sales Consultants assist customers throughout the purchase process, from identifying suitable vehicles to completing appraisals, test drives, and financing applications. They provide clear information, complete accurate transaction documentation, collaborate with teammates, and maintain a clean, orderly work area in accordance with CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.

This is a part-time position in Savannah, Georgia. The hourly rate is $20.00, and the position is eligible for commission. Part-time benefits described include qualifying sick time where required by state law, vacation based on length of service and subject to a one-year waiting period, and four hours of Floating Holiday Time per calendar year subject to manager approval.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding vehicles that fit their needs using knowledge of CarMax inventory.
• Guide customers through the sales process, including appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.

Benefits

• Eligible part-time associates may receive sick time in states that mandate it; accrual ranges from 24 hours to unlimited based on state rules.
• Part-time associates are eligible for 8 to 40 hours of vacation per year based on length of service, subject to a one-year waiting period.
• Part-time associates are eligible for four hours of Floating Holiday Time each calendar year, subject to manager approval.
• The position is eligible for commission.
