Sales Consultant – Part Time
About The Position
As a Sales Consultant Trainee, you will help deliver CarMax’s customer-first experience by building relationships, understanding customer needs, and guiding customers toward suitable vehicles. Paid training and mentorship are provided, and prior auto sales experience is not required. The role involves helping customers through vehicle selection, appraisals, test drives, and financing applications while providing clear, honest information and accurate transaction documentation. You will collaborate with the team, stay informed about CarMax products and promotions, and follow Environmental, Health and Safety requirements while maintaining an orderly work area.

Responsibilities
- Help customers find vehicles that fit their needs using knowledge of CarMax inventory.
- Guide customers through the purchase process, including appraisals, test drives, and financing applications.
- Listen actively and provide clear, honest information to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Complete accurate transaction documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet customer needs and store goals.
- Maintain a professional, customer-first approach in every interaction.
- Stay informed about CarMax products, services, and promotions.
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

- Part-time associates may be eligible for 8 to 40 hours of vacation per year based on length of service, subject to a one-year waiting period.
- Part-time associates may be eligible for 4 hours of Floating Holiday Time each calendar year, subject to manager approval.
