About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. The role is expected to be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a results-oriented approach. Associates help customers find suitable merchandise, maintain the sales environment, support store standards and training, and contribute to operational compliance and loss prevention. A standard work week is 35 to 40 hours.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships by providing professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service, identifying customer needs, and offering knowledgeable product assistance.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while meeting DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying loss or inventory inconsistencies to help the store meet shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting against shoplifting and internal theft, and follow loss prevention policies and security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during assigned shifts, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other relevant information.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
