About The Position
Marian's Attic Thrift Shop, a nonprofit boutique-style thrift shop in King of Prussia, supports the programs and services of Laurel House, a domestic violence organization. The shop is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to work in a supportive, collaborative environment with staff and volunteers committed to Laurel House’s mission. The role involves customer-facing retail work and general thrift-store operations, including handling transactions, preparing and stocking merchandise, and researching donated items. The position requires the ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted and to work every other Saturday.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn about clothing and accessory brands.
- Basic internet and computer skills.
- Ability to work every other Saturday.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a mission-driven outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use social media communication and engagement skills.
- Operate the cash register and balance the cash drawer at the close of the shift.
- Sort, tag, steam, and stock merchandise.
- Perform general retail and thrift-store responsibilities.
- Research the value of assorted donated items on the internet.
