About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming shoe-store experience and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs. You contribute to an inclusive, positive team culture, stay informed about trends, and share your knowledge to create engaging customer experiences.

You support store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, and help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You engage customers, contribute to sales goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies, seek feedback, and assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Engage customers and provide attentive, high-quality service and shoe recommendations.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the store team, and actively listen to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work to improve skills.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
