About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The Sales Associate supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience. They help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In Store Pick up. The role also includes accurate completion of Form 4473, product demonstrations, merchandise organization and replenishment, maintaining product and advertised-sale knowledge, supporting seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The employee follows company policies and procedures and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in retail.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and support a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and recommend products based on that analysis.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In Store Pick up.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
