The Sales Associate maximizes sales while providing friendly, welcoming customer service. The role involves determining customer needs, building client relationships, supporting sales through consignments and partnerships, processing transactions, contributing to store operations and events, promoting the brand’s rewards and social media platforms, communicating business feedback, and protecting company assets. This is a full-time position in Woodbury, with an hourly pay rate of $24. Pay is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience in retail sales.
• A can-do attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability and willingness to work during peak business periods, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with point-of-sale and inventory management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Comfort working in a team environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing 20 pounds or more from time to time as required.

• Experience in women's upper contemporary, multi-label, or luxury designer retail.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and provide friendly, welcoming customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers to determine their needs.
• Build relationships with clients and maintain an updated client book.
• Drive sales through consignments and partnerships with interior designers and wardrobe stylists.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, including sales, exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrap.
• Participate in store operations, including maintaining displays, assisting with stock transfers, and receiving new merchandise.
• Participate in store events.
• Encourage customers to sign up for Jenni Kayne Rewards and engage with the company on social media.
• Share feedback with management and write daily business recaps.
• Secure company assets through loss prevention in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
