About The Position

The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and helps maintain store merchandise, displays, and programs. The role supports profitability, customer satisfaction, teamwork, and protection of company assets. Duties include receiving and stocking merchandise, assisting customers, operating the register, and maintaining clean store areas. The position is in Livingston, Illinois. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks and receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes according to company work processes.
Place merchandise in the stockroom or move it directly to the sales floor.
Build merchandise displays and stock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
Restock recovered merchandise.
Assist customers by locating merchandise and greeting them.
Operate the cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases, bag merchandise, collect payments, and make change.
Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, and clean the restroom and stockroom.
Clean the front end of the store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork while protecting company assets.
