About The Position
The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and helps them locate and purchase merchandise. The role includes operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Manager to support store profitability, customer satisfaction, and protection of company assets.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
- Knowledge of basic cash-handling procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform cash register functions.
- Ability to stock merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide assistance and excellent customer service.
- Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payments, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as needed.
- Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise according to company processes.
- Build merchandise displays and help set up sidewalk displays.
- Clean the store, including taking out trash, dusting and mopping floors, and cleaning the restroom and receiving room.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
