About The Position

The Part Time Sales Associate supports store sales performance, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and carries out day-to-day store operations. The role follows customer engagement strategies and maintains merchandising standards that contribute to a positive in-store experience. The associate builds relationships with customers, learns their interests, recommends suitable products, and supports brand loyalty and store performance. The associate also helps maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked sales floor and follows store policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
Be available for at least 12 hours per week, including one weekend day; additional availability is a plus.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts; walk and move to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
Maneuver and/or lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Push and pull full merchandise racks for restocking.
Reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
Occasionally perform manual labor to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
Read labels accurately and perform tasks requiring attention to detail.
Use fine manipulation and grasping to sort and organize clothing, including placing items on hangers, folding, and organizing by color and size.

Responsibilities

Uphold high retail and customer-service standards to create an in-store experience aligned with company standards.
Initiate conversations with customers, build relationships, learn their interests, and identify products to suggest.
Assist customers in the fitting room.
Recommend products that align with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling, and encourage purchases.
Promote the rewards program, build brand loyalty, and achieve weekly loyalty sign-up goals.
Learn about new products and trends to engage customers effectively.
Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
Provide information and advice about product performance, features, and specifications.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist with assigned daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Process transactions accurately, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
Respond quickly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and comply with loss-prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Demonstrate accountability and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
Promote feedback, belonging, participation, creativity, and learning by communicating best practices and ideas.
Make changes as suggested by the manager on duty to meet store goals and support a positive work environment.
Take initiative to work ahead and seek guidance when appropriate.
