About The Position

The Part Time Sales Associate supports store sales performance, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and carries out day-to-day store operations. The associate follows customer engagement strategies and maintains merchandising standards to support a positive in-store experience. Helly Hansen, part of Kontoor Brands, develops professional-grade apparel for outdoor and work environments and is known for technical sailing and performance ski apparel. The brand’s products are sold in more than 40 countries. The role requires a minimum availability of 12 hours per week, including one weekend day, and a flexible schedule to meet business needs. Candidates must be at least 16 years old. The position involves standing and moving throughout the store, assisting customers, handling merchandise, and completing physical store tasks. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be available to work at least 12 hours per week, including one weekend day.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Ability to operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Ability to stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts and walk to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
Ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to push and pull full racks of merchandise.
Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
Ability to perform occasional manual labor to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
Vision to read labels accurately, assist customers, and perform detail-oriented tasks.
Ability to use fine manipulation and grasp items to sort and organize clothing, place garments on hangers, and fold and organize merchandise by color and size.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and uphold retail standards consistent with company expectations.
Initiate conversations with customers, build relationships, learn their interests, and recommend suitable products.
Assist customers in fitting rooms and provide information and advice about product performance, features, and specifications.
Use suggestive selling to help customers find products aligned with their needs and encourage purchases.
Promote the rewards program, meet weekly loyalty sign-up goals, and build brand loyalty.
Learn about new products and trends to improve customer engagement.
Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist with assigned opening and closing procedures and daily store operations.
Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
Respond promptly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and follow loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Demonstrate accountability, customer focus, collaboration, adaptability, initiative, integrity, and urgency in supporting store goals.
