About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of each product area or department, adherence to the visual manual and other company policies and standards, and promotion of sales and promotions. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain long-term customers. The position is focused on delivering outstanding customer service and promoting merchandise in the store. This role assists with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup, weekly shipments, and store maintenance. It has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including welcoming customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and report potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
