Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Sporting Goods/Firearms Specialist - Rochester, IN
About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, assembling products, maintaining general housekeeping, and completing other duties assigned by the manager. The Sporting Goods/Firearms Specialist must have knowledge of firearms and firearms accessories and be able to accurately complete all required FFL procedures for firearm sales. Completing these procedures may require the successful candidate to be at least 21 years of age. Pay is based on experience, with a stated range of $14.00–$15.00.
Requirements
- Knowledge of firearms and firearms accessories.
- Ability to accurately complete all required FFL procedures for firearm sales.
- May need to be at least 21 years of age to complete the required firearm-sales procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Handle customer returns.
- Answer product-related questions, assemble products, and perform general housekeeping as needed.
