About The Position

Murdoch’s is seeking a Retail Associate to provide friendly, knowledgeable service and create an authentic shopping experience. The role involves helping customers with firearms and ammunition, camping and hiking, hunting and fishing, and other products; displaying products to make shopping easy; and welcoming customers and supporting their experience from store entry through their return to their car. Applicants selling firearms must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old to sell firearms.
Have a can-do attitude.
Be motivated to achieve strong productivity.
Be prepared to work on your feet and perform heavy, repetitive lifting.
Be legally able to own a firearm.
Be able to stand for long periods.
Perform repetitive wrist movements on a keyboard.
Have close vision for some PC work.
Be able to bend, carry, push, and reach overhead.
Lift no more than 50 pounds, including repetitive lifting.
Work as a team to uphold the company’s Mission, Values, and Principles.

Responsibilities

Provide customers with product knowledge about firearms and ammunition, camping and hiking, hunting and fishing, and other merchandise.
Display products to create an easy shopping experience.
Provide friendly service and assist customers throughout their store visit.
