About The Position

The Sales Associate at Cosmoprof focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience and helping customers with their beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. The company provides product knowledge and training so associates can advise customers throughout their shopping experience. The role involves building customer relationships, supporting sales and promotions, processing transactions, and maintaining a professional store environment. A range of working schedules and hours is available to suit different needs, subject to business scheduling requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position involves long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals; fumes and odors may also be encountered on occasion.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them in it.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
