About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the position’s primary focuses. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, helps maintain an organized sales floor, and complies with company policies and training programs. The role may also include other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
