About The Position

Portland Leather Goods is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate at its Crocker Park location in Westlake, Ohio. The associate helps deliver a customer journey tailored to each customer’s needs, builds relationships with shoppers, and assists with keeping the store clean, organized, and stocked. The role is suited to outgoing, social people who enjoy helping customers and working with leather goods. Weekend availability is required. The position pays $16.00 per hour and requires the employee to reside in the same state as the store location.

Requirements

High school diploma or higher.
Availability to work weekends.
Customer service or retail experience.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Familiarity with POS systems and ability to learn new systems.
Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment between the backroom and sales floor.
Ability to place and arrange items on shelves and racks.
Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise.
Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance.
Ability to remain on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and continuously move throughout the store.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for extended periods.
Ability to read and understand instructions, reports, and information on computer or register screens, and to input information into a computer.
Must reside in the same state as the assigned retail store location.
