About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Associate for its Overland Park salon. The associate provides friendly, professional customer service, learns clients’ needs, and recommends products and services. The role also includes sales activities, salon cleaning, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while following company policies and procedures. No experience is needed. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients.
• Ability to make product and service recommendations.
• Ability to meet minimum sales requirements.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Build relationships with clients and understand their needs.
• Recommend products and services to clients.
• Meet minimum sales requirements.
• Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging with new clients as they arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
• Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
