About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, maintains an organized sales environment, and complies with company policies and programs. The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation is required.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer-service work experience is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify suitable merchandise for customers, provide service, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
