FT Sales Associate
About The Position
Lovesac is hiring a full-time Sales Associate at the Deerfield Town Center in Mason, Ohio. The role focuses on connecting with customers, selling adaptable furniture, and helping customers choose products that fit their lifestyle and space. The associate provides a welcoming, engaging shopping experience, builds lasting customer relationships, and works toward sales goals and key performance indicators in a fast-paced, customer-first retail environment. The position also supports daily store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions. Associates use store systems and customer relationship management tools, uphold company policies and safety standards, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team. The role requires working during high-traffic periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights, and travel to local stores, vendors, or occasional meetings as required. The listed hourly pay range is $15.00–$17.00. Associates may receive up to 125 hours of paid time off within the fiscal calendar year, overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek, and 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked on eight recognized company holidays. Benefits and eligibility are subject to company policy and plan documents.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- At least 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service role.
- Able to use technology for sales and customer support, demonstrate products, assist customers, and use internal CRM systems.
- Able to travel as required by the company using various forms of transportation.
- Excellent judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness when handling financial transactions, sensitive data, customer privacy, and the comfort and safety of people and property.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
- Able to move objects, including medium to large furniture items weighing up to 75 pounds, and assemble furniture on the selling floor.
- Able to bend, twist, kneel, reach, stoop, crawl, and climb.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and actively sell by following the Lovesac selling process, maintaining a personal quote pipeline, and following up to drive conversion.
- Build genuine customer connections that support loyalty, repeat business, and brand advocacy.
- Guide customers through the full customer journey by identifying their needs, providing service, and developing lasting relationships.
- Demonstrate product knowledge, provide brand tours and product education, and confidently close sales.
- Meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs through sound decision-making and disciplined execution.
- Contribute to an inclusive and respectful environment for customers and teammates, and remain accountable, flexible, open to feedback, and willing to learn.
- Build authentic relationships through daily interactions that strengthen brand awareness.
- Support daily store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions.
- Use store systems and data to prioritize work and support efficient, customer-focused execution.
- Uphold brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies while contributing to a positive team environment and protecting the business.
- Take on additional priorities and special projects as needed.
- Work during high-traffic and peak selling periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Travel as required to local stores, third-party vendors, and occasional meetings.
- Handle financial transactions and sensitive business and customer data with judgment, integrity, and respect for privacy.
