Full Time - Sales Associate - Paint - Day
About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department, you welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You listen to customers, answer questions, assist with product selection and merchandise, and help ensure their needs are met. Responsibilities include preparing paint by tinting and mixing it, organizing and replenishing merchandise, and assisting with orders, deliveries, shopping, or checkout. Associates may cross-train in other store areas and occasionally help load merchandise. The role is primarily in-store and may involve working indoors and outdoors under varying weather and environmental conditions.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities needed to perform the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-train in other areas of the store to support customer service.
- Prepare department merchandise to meet customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Occasionally load merchandise.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
