Full Time - Sales Associate - Paint - Day
About The Position
The Sales Associate works as a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department at Lowe’s, welcoming customers and helping them find products and services for home improvement projects. The role combines customer service with merchandise handling, stocking, order processing, and department-specific preparation such as tinting and mixing paint. Associates may cross-train in other store areas, and duties may vary by department and store needs. The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
- Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
- Prepare department merchandise for customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
