About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Associate at its West Farms store in Farmington, Connecticut. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, promoting products, building customer relationships, and supporting store business. Associates use fashion and product knowledge to style customers, meet sales and service metrics, and complete operational tasks. The position offers 15 to 20 hours per week, with availability needs that include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support service enhancers, including active use of Concierge, to build strong relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
