About The Position

The Sales Associate provides customer service and assists with sales-floor and stockroom operations at LaGuardia Airport. The role includes helping customers find products, operating the cash register, maintaining merchandise and inventory, receiving and moving freight, and keeping the store clean and organized. The position requires flexibility to work any shift and any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, on a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet customers.
Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management.
Learn the basic store layout, help customers select products, and answer questions about the store.
Effectively operate a cash register.
Follow company policies, cash-handling policies, and store loss-prevention procedures.
Communicate pricing, outdated-product, and inventory issues to management.
Protect company assets and stock merchandise in stores and backrooms.
Isolate, sort, and organize damaged and outdated products and returns, and notify management of out-of-stock situations.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store, including sweeping, dusting, straightening merchandise, and removing trash.
Place stock orders, receive freight, and load and unload trucks.
Replenish stock on the sales floor.
Assist with inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances.
Perform related work as assigned.
