About The Position

Lovesac is hiring a part-time Sales Associate at the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan. The role focuses on connecting with customers, helping them choose furniture that fits their lifestyles and spaces, and delivering a positive, customer-first sales experience. Associates use product knowledge and Lovesac’s selling process to build relationships, manage customer follow-up, and achieve sales goals. They also support store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions, while contributing to an inclusive team environment and upholding company policies and brand standards. The position requires regular work during peak periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights; travel may also be required at the company’s discretion. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, moving and assembling furniture, and performing physical tasks such as bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, stooping, crawling, and climbing.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
At least 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service role.
Must regularly work during high-traffic and peak selling periods, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Ability to use technology for sales and customer support, demonstrate products, assist customers, and use internal CRM systems.
Ability to travel as required by the company using various forms of transportation.
Excellent judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness when managing financial transactions, sensitive business and customer data, customer privacy, and the comfort and safety of people and property.
Effective communication skills and ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
Ability to move objects, including medium to large furniture items weighing up to 75 pounds, between positions and assemble furniture on the selling floor.
Ability to bend, twist, kneel, reach, stoop, crawl, and climb.
High school education level.

Responsibilities

Greet customers energetically, actively sell using the Lovesac selling process, maintain a personal quote pipeline, and follow up to drive conversion.
Build customer connections that encourage loyalty, repeat business, and brand advocacy.
Guide customers through the sales journey by identifying their needs, providing service, educating them about products, and closing sales.
Maintain strong product knowledge and deliver engaging brand tours and product demonstrations.
Manage performance and use sound judgment and disciplined execution to meet and exceed sales goals and KPIs.
Contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment where customers and teammates feel valued.
Build authentic relationships that strengthen brand awareness, and remain accountable, flexible, receptive to feedback, and willing to learn.
Support daily store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, visual standards, and promotions.
Use store systems and data to prioritize work and provide efficient, customer-focused execution.
Follow brand standards, safety practices, and company policies while supporting a positive team environment and protecting the business.
Take on additional priorities and special projects as needed.
Travel to local stores, third-party vendors, or occasional meetings when required by the company.
Stand and walk for extended periods, move furniture weighing up to 75 pounds, assemble furniture on the selling floor, and perform other required physical actions.
