About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. Work is expected to be professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented. The role supports a positive customer experience by helping customers identify and select suitable merchandise, maintaining store standards, and contributing to store goals and operational compliance. The standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours. The position is based at Church Square in Baltimore, Maryland, and may require working in multiple stores within the assigned district. The stated pay range is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, and the role is eligible for the company 401(k) plan.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work under minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style-trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
A proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street-lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer-service work experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and provide professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting products.
Apply basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager with monitoring and identifying loss or store inconsistencies to help meet shrink goals.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss-prevention and security procedures.
Follow proper point-of-sale procedures, balance money taken in during the assignment, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and information needed for effective management.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
