About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate supports sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

The associate helps customers choose appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, maintains visual standards and store organization, and follows company policies and service and product programs. The associate also helps prevent theft and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, following DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
