About The Position

The Sales Associate supports customer satisfaction and store operations at Goodwill NCW’s Wisconsin Rapids store. The role involves processing customer purchases, promoting customer programs, maintaining merchandise displays, assisting shoppers, and keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized. Work is performed primarily in a standard retail backroom or warehouse environment, with extensive team member contact and frequent interruptions. Requirements

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate a cash register and accurately count money.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Computer experience or willingness and ability to learn.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, and maintain regular, timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push, or pull 10 to 25 pounds; objects over 25 pounds require a team lift.
• Ability to reach approximately 54 inches and frequently stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
• Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.
• Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately scan tickets and process payments while following cash-handling standards.
• Educate customers about the Round Up program to help achieve program goals.
• Inform customers about the Good Points program to help achieve program goals.
• Operate the telephone, answer calls professionally, and operate the paging system.
• Ensure items are properly displayed, pulled, and restocked in alignment with merchandising standards and leadership guidance.
• Help customers locate items or seek assistance for them when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; complete opening and closing checklists; and support general cleaning, including parking lot maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
