About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, operating the cash register, assembling products, and performing general housekeeping and other tasks assigned by the manager. The role is in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The company will consider reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to bend and twist frequently.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of housewares, food, and candy products.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
• Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
• Assist with cycle counts.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
• Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
