About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. The position includes greeting customers, answering product-related questions, operating the cash register, assembling products, and performing general housekeeping and other duties assigned by the manager. The role is in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. A flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule, is preferred.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Frequent bending and twisting.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and a rotating weekend and holiday schedule preferred.
Knowledge of housewares, food, and candy products preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
Assist with cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Complete other duties as assigned.
