About The Position
Soma is seeking a temporary, part-time Sales Associate for its Water Tower Place store in Chicago. The role is centered on creating a welcoming, customer-focused environment that reflects the brand’s culture of hospitality. The associate builds genuine customer connections, shares product knowledge, and provides personalized service while contributing to store performance and team collaboration. The role involves assisting customers, supporting omnichannel shopping, explaining loyalty programs, and helping maintain store presentation and organization. Candidates should be passionate about the brand, fashion, and empowering confidence, and be able to meet the physical requirements of working on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Requirements
- Passion for the brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Team-player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be at least 16 years old in AZ, GA, ID, IL, KS, MS, MO, MT, ND, NV, OK, SD, TX, UT, and VA; must be at least 18 years old in all other states.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; operate the register; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities

- Use available tools to create a seamless omnichannel experience.
- Educate customers about the benefits of brand loyalty programs.

- Assist store leaders with merchandising, inventory replenishment, and store organization.
- Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
