About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising, product sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The primary priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The position is based at the Courtyard at Waterbury in Waterbury, Connecticut, and pays $16.94 per hour. The role is eligible for the company 401K plan.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, sell appropriate merchandise, meet DTLR standards, and build customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Make a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression on customers and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs in accordance with visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help organize the store as directed by store management.
Perform other assigned duties.
