About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. The role is expected to be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a focus on results. Associates help customers select appropriate merchandise, maintain a positive and orderly sales environment, support store standards and training, and assist with operational compliance and loss prevention. A standard work week is 35 to 40 hours.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimum supervision and take charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships by providing professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting products.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager with identifying issues affecting loss or store inconsistencies and help the store meet shrink goals.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss prevention and security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during the assignment, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
