About The Position
The Sales Associate provides high-quality customer service through efficient sales and effective merchandising in a pleasant, clean retail environment. The role processes transactions, supports customers with product and store information, organizes merchandise, assists with pricing recommendations, maintains store cleanliness, and helps prevent loss. The position is in a normal retail store environment with typically moderate noise and frequent exposure to dust. Requirements
- High school graduate/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Ability to work with a diverse staff, customer base, and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to determine when to direct a problem situation to a supervisor.
- Satisfactory results of all required background checks.

Responsibilities
- Process customer sales quickly and accurately on the cash register.
- Process cash transactions, customer checks, charges, and store credits, and accurately balance the register drawer.
- Provide customer service by knowing inventory, sale information, store policies and procedures, and other related information.
- Keep merchandise neat and organized by distributing stock appropriately and pulling stock when necessary.
- Assess merchandise and make pricing recommendations to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Maintain an orderly store appearance by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, washing mirrors, doors, and windows, and keeping the register area clean.
- Help ensure loss prevention by monitoring dressing rooms and observing customers.
- Answer the store telephone.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
