About The Position
Senior Helpers of Central West Hartford is seeking an experienced, part-time caregiver for a client in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The role provides in-home support that helps seniors maintain independence and receive compassionate care with dignity and respect. Caregiver duties are client-specific and may include companionship, assistance with daily activities, transportation, meal preparation, errands, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and personal care. This is an in-person position, and a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Requirements
- Previous professional caregiving experience is required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient.
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living and provide companionship.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage the client in conversation.
- Assist with hobbies, games, and other activities.
- Transport the client to appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Provide standby assistance with walking and mobility.
- Plan meals and prepare light meals.
- Shop for groceries and run errands as needed.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
