Full Time - Sales Associate - Inside Lawn & Garden - Day
About The Position
The Sales Associate provides friendly, professional customer service in Lowe’s Inside Lawn & Garden department. The associate welcomes customers, helps them find and select products and services for home improvement projects, answers questions, handles merchandise, and guides customers through shopping or checkout. The role also involves organizing and replenishing merchandise, accurately processing orders and deliveries, and preparing products according to customer needs. Associates may cross-train in other store areas and perform additional duties as assigned. The position may involve working indoors and outdoors in variable weather and environmental conditions, occasionally traveling to meetings, training, or neighboring stores, and handling merchandise within Lowe’s lifting guidelines.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted or over 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-train in other areas of the store to help deliver customer service.
- Prepare merchandise to meet customer needs.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
