About The Position

The Sales Associate works in the Inside Lawn & Garden department, welcoming Lowe’s customers and helping them find products and services for their home improvement needs. The role centers on listening to customers, answering questions, assisting with product selection and handling, and ensuring customer needs are met. Daily tasks may vary by department and include organizing and replenishing merchandise, processing orders and deliveries, preparing merchandise to meet customer needs, and occasionally loading merchandise. Associates may also train across other store areas and guide customers through shopping or checkout.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Occasionally load merchandise.
Complete other duties as assigned.
