About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. Associates help customers find appropriate merchandise, maintain DTLR visual and store standards, and contribute to an organized, positive shopping environment.

Requirements

Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate basic fashion and trend knowledge and recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed by visual guidelines.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
