About The Position

The Full-Time Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other responsibilities assigned by management. Duties are performed in a professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented manner. The standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours. The role requires open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs, and willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimum supervision, take charge of the store when necessary, and handle responsibility.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships by providing attentive, professional, courteous, honest, and responsive service; identify customer needs and help customers select suitable products.
Apply basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend merchandise, meet customer needs, and maintain DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies; participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring issues related to store loss or inconsistencies and help the store meet shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss prevention and security procedures.
Follow proper point-of-sale procedures, balance money handled during assigned shifts, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other information needed for effective management.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
