About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising, product sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Its primary focus is customer service, sales, and teamwork.

The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, helps keep the store organized and orderly, and complies with company policies and programs. The role also assists in preventing theft and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous work experience in retail or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and help meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and demonstrate enthusiasm toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in eliminating employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
